About

THE PROCESS

Setting out to weave my four passions through my book – a love of languages, a deep appreciation of diversity, an unwavering adoration for teaching, and a long-held obsession with books, I didn’t just want to create a teach yourself Arabic book. I wanted to create an experience, where families come together and children can unlock a new language, without viewing it as a chore. Arming guardians with budget-friendly, time-efficient resources, this book is made for you.

How the Book Works:

This book playfully guides you through Arabic letters and phonics, while saying

With each letter playfully depicted as a fair attraction, with its own unique story, this is the ultimate learning experience. The reader says ‘hello’ to new animals on every page. The animals help illustrate the sound for the letter that they are visiting. By combining Arabic phonics with English vocabulary, this book eases the English-speaking readers into learning how to read a new language like never before. This book accelerates learning by building association, memorizing letter shapes, and sprinkling some magic dust over study time through clever mini stories.

ABOUT ME

MEET THE AUTHOR

Rewinding the clock back to my formative years, I would never have anticipated that one day, I’d be publishing a book. Reading storybooks was one of my many favorite pastimes as a child, with vivid memories of exploring the huge book collection my mom and dad owned. When I was 9 or 10, I even had the bright idea to open my own at-home library for family and friends, featuring a hand-made library ledger and membership cards – the products of my beloved stationery collection.
I issued my cherished books out with so much pride and a ‘big girl’ feeling, only to have a hilariously low return rate on those books.  So, I learned from that experience and shut down my library until further notice.
I got into teaching from a very young age thanks to my mom. After spending many hours pretending to teach my teddy bear and my 2 dolls as a child, she encouraged me to take my passion and teach students who were a grade or two behind me for an hour each day. I gained experience with children to whom learning didn’t come very easily, and with an older brother who is autistic, I got pretty good at finding unorthodox ways to teach the same concept to different people. The feeling of finally learning something that you were struggling with – or helping someone and seeing that feeling flash on their face – is ecstatic.
I get to experience that feeling very frequently with my 3 children. I have made many short stories for them over the years, with The Enchanted Fair representing the first one set to be showcased to the world. I have poured my heart and soul into this book, and I humbly hope that you and your child have as much fun with it as I had creating it.
